I just saw this post! I have an iPhone too, got it in late October, and it is a blast. I wish the Edge was faster. I understand that probably by summer they'll introduce a 3G version of iPhone.
I use the web app "iDo" for reminders and lists and to make a recipe "Note" to use when I'm whomping up something to eat in the kitchen. iDo looks like a klutzy DOS app but is is useful.

found this site called mundu im that provides access to the instant messengers I use, and thats been great so I really feel untethered from even the laptop...so spoiled!
the sound thru the headset on
this youtube video was/is amazing.
I'm now
reading the user guide and discovering all kinds of cool hidden things ... like double tapping on the home key to bring up the favorites list right off.

Just saw this thread...I got an ipod touch for christmas..more or less the iphone without the phone...and i love this thing. Now maybe I won't forget about this site for long periods of time :D I've got wifi at home and at most places at school, so I'm pretty content.

I'm in a restaurant right now, its so cool. love the double-space that automatically puts up a period-space. watched an episode of "Rescue Me" the other night ... I admittedly don't have the best TV in the world, but the video quality on this thing makes me believe my TV won't be getting much use anymore.
as for edge, I just think its cool to have access basically anywhere.
and it capitlizes my Is LOL

I like the 1.1.3 update. Putting icons on the home page is great. I'm not a big text messenger but multiple addees should have been there from the git-go. The Maps pseudo-GPS is cool, even if it isn't very precise.
making iTouch users pay $20 for the upgrade is not very Apple-like…or is it?

I started reading a mac message board..and apperently this is because of teh Sarbanes-Oxlay (sp?) Act? Apparently the iPhone revenue is on a subscription basis and the ipod touch is not, so the touch needs an upgrade in cost, for an upgrade in features...or at least that's how I understand it.
Of course, the option to purchase the apps (notes, stocks, weather, maps, and mail0 disappeared..and get the accompanying webclips and wiggling icons disappeared..so I don't know what that means.
I'd have been happy to buy if the apps could have been purchased individually- I really just wanted mail and notes- but to me, the package didn't seem worth it. Annnd thats probably more than you ever wanted to know, oops

i thought i wouldnt use anything but ipod and SMS. i was wrong. when i went to create my customized home screens, i realized the only apps i wasnt using were itunes, calculator, and stocks.
(i watch my stocks on the laptop, and i use the laptop for itunes as well - tho that might change also - would be nice not to have to go thru the sync process every time, if that's what that would mean...)
granted, i've been doing a lot of exploring of central pennsylvania of late, but i use google maps all the time. and the location finder addition almost has it competing with the blackberry GPS nav system. almost. ;)
i love the wiggling icon thing. that was pretty freaky the first time i did it - and couldn't remember how to get it to stop lol
