i messed around with the colors a lot and ended up changing very little. i'm still baffled as to how to get these blue lines removed from this one screen - post new topics - but some other time...

bear in mind that when it says "The Administrator has temporarily disabled Search" they're lying - it's the InvisionFree hosts that have disabled it, because of the load on the servers (so they say). there is the "search" link at the top that provides a substituted "Google search" but i've never gotten it to find a damn thing i enter. still looking for a code snippet that will allow you to search for all posts by a particular member....my own odd desire i suppose.

oh yeah, i almost forgot probably one of most interesting...i've added the "[doHTML][/doHTML]" option for all members in all forums. i'm looking forward to seeing what you creative people come up with, hoping all the while that nothing will be posted that crashes the site o_o (that's not really possible, right?)

edit: i just added some non-blue buttons. they're kinda heavy, but that's the first draft....
