whew...long dry stretch there in the book...

1999 -- Former Oriole first-base great Eddie Murray and former General Manager Frank Cashen, who oversaw the club when it reached the postseason six times in a 10-year span, are announced as the newest inductees to the Orioles Hall of Fame. Murray, currently an Orioles bench coach, spent 12-1/2 of his 21 Big League seasons with the Orioles, batting .294 with 343 homers. He returned via trade in 1996 after a six-year absence and hit his 500th career homer to join Hank Aaron and Willie Mays as the only players with 500 homers and 3000 hits.

okay so this was written in 1999 and has a sort of "for those of you who know nothing about the Orioles" flavor, i admit it :D
