Here's an article by a man I met at Fantasy Camp last February. In fact, he
was the first "camper" I ran into as we figured out a way to get into the
building. He has ALS and is trying to get MLB to make July 4, 2009 Lou
Gehrig/ALS day to raise money and awareness for research. He's a nice guy.

I emailed Michael last night and he responded that he has not gotten any response from MLB about this yet. His efforts have just begun with this article. (A national magazine like Newsweek online is a good starting point!) I forwarded the link to the article to a Baltimore Sun baseball writer. Maybe that will generate some more publicity for this worthy cause.
