I love the orange and black piping! A return to a gaudy, glorious tradition!
Now I know what I want for Christmas! (Clarification: The jersey... not the player shown.)

The new sleeve piping looks very similar to that introduced in 1989:
http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dre...if&Entryid=1633I'll have to look at the jerseys side-by-side, but they appear the same.

They said 2500 people showed up for the rally. That's almost as much as their average attendance during the year!

LOL
I'm really not sure I dig the sleeve patch.
http://www.mlb.com/bal/photogallery/year_2.../cf3670404.htmlI think the script Baltimore on the left sleeve of the black alternate jersey is fine.
http://www.mlb.com/bal/photogallery/year_2.../cf3670404.htmlYou'll notice that they've added a trademark symbol to the Orioles logo on the hats. We have the Cubs to thank for this irritating trend. They've been doing it for decades. Fortunately, the "tm" does not appear on the jersey.

I'd rather they went with the fun bird or the angry bird, but I actually like both sleeve patches.
Agreed on the "TM" though. Makes the hat look like a cheap replica or something.

i'll take the player shown.
actually, they had a shot of him on the Sun site that i'm sure he'll get ribbed about:

on the O's mlb site, they have a slideshow:
http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/news/arti...t=.jsp&c_id=bali like the way they merged the bird and Orioles so that it's perching on the dot...

i think the TM keeps people like me from lifting it on the internet to be a logo on *their* stuff; when i first created this site, i actually wasn't sure what was and was not trademarked. turned out the bird was, so i used a "close facsimile" ;) i also don't think it used to be an issue, because it wasn't so easy to lift before.

Here's an interesting discussion about the point/pointlessness of adding trademark symbols to team logos.

I think the script "Baltimore" ends up awful tiny.

Great to see Cakes modeling the new uniform on the Baltimore Sun video clip.

It is often better to see Palmer than to hear Palmer.

http://www.uniwatchblog.com/ offers a lengthy review today of the Orioles uniform changes. It's a lot more coverage than it gave the Nationals' changes last week.
I disagree about with the writer about the new piping though. It looks sharp.
He makes an observation about how the "Baltimore" script tapers on the new road jersey while the "Orioles" script on the home jersey does not. It looks like the "Baltimore" script on the classic road jersey did not taper.

Frankly, I kind of dig this old minor league road jersey because of and despite its imitation of the classic Cardinals birds-on-bat motif:
