Description: Any thoughts?

:)

Definitely.

A ridiculous definite, no thought needed, take any locker he wants but...he would be 3rd in line.
Tex
Burnett
Furcal

I doubt if the pockets are deep enough to hold all that.

Since I think not, just sign the most defensive oriented no-name SS out there. An excellent fielding SS would be great. Our pitchers need all the help they can get and then some. Any hits, pennies from heaven.
No problem.

If the O's are going to try to use free agency to plug their holes, Furcal is a reasonable choice. He made an average of $12 million over the last three years with the Dodgers. He will cost less than that given his injury this year. Another way to put it is that he will cost less per year and require many fewer years to sign than Tejada. It seems he's most likely to resign with the Dodgers, though.

It depends on what he's asking. Coming off an injury year he shouldn't be asking for $10 million or more for greater than three years. If he is I'd pass.

His injury was a bulging disc in his lower back. Apparently he had surgery, but I don't know if he is 100%.

If memory serves me, he may be younger than his alleged date of birth suggests. Sort of like a bizarro Tejada.

Furcal would be fine.

I agree with Milt's order of priority though.
