Title: Two Giants of note

Hi all:

Got to see the Giants Monday night, and once I get the photos from this game and the Os game at AT&T, I'll post them somewhere.

Buster Posey looks like the real deal. He looks like Wieters (except that he is hitting, unlike Wieters) with a lot more of a kid just loving the game vibe that Wieters does not bring. Posey hits and plays great heads up and hearty baseball.

And out in the pen, Chris Ray, who pitched Monday and looked good. Ray got the win tonight and is now 4-0 with a 3.24 ERA or something like that. Still looks like a kid.

As for my pics, I hope that the one I took as we left the park comes out. You walk to the outfield, exit and board the ferry that takes you to my island city of Alameda 15 minutes later. Taking the ferry to the City requires a 15-20 walk to the park, but you can always stop by Gordon Biersch, a microbrewery. Not the greatest, but the Marzen is a very decent amber like offering, and very nice on a warm, comfortable evening.

And here is the trivial question for you. In July, what is offered to the fans at AT&T that you cannot get anywhere else in baseball?

Answer: Hot cocoa, which is vital to thaw out hands on a typical chilly summer evening in the City by the Bay. Attributed to Mark Twain but from an unknown source, the quote: The coldest winter I ever spent was a July in San Francisco.

Sorry Andrew. It seems that heart, guts, heads up play, and loving the game vibe would disqualify you from getting to play for the Orioles.

I figured the answer to your trivia question wouldn't be an Iphone 4G.

Actually, I had heard in the news that the high in San Francisco yesterday was only 60. You have no idea how welcome that would be here.
