I almost forget the most important part of this news.
I get beer.
That makes a 30 pack on the Cowher resignation and a 6 pack on Cal not being unanimous.
If I could just makes real bets instead of beer bets, maybe I wouldn't have to go back to work.

Congratulations to Cal.
Anyway we can get the writer's names that didn't vote for him?

I am sure that they will no problem coming forward and admitting that they were contrary. The arguements will include talk of the steriod era and no first year person getting in and Gwynn and Ripken not better than Cy Young or Ruth.
Oh well, I think that this was covered some where else.
Let's not get hung up on the percentages and just enjoy what Cal's career meant to not only us, the Orioles fans, but also baseball in general.

Also, Cal participated in the strike that ruined baseball for a few years.
Oh, Don't forget the urban legend where there was a faked power failure to cover up the fact that Ripken couldn't play as he hurt his hand punching Kevin Costner in the face.

Cal Didn't Punch Dances with Wolves...but I think that this rumor has just about as much relevancy as to why Cal shouldn't be unanimous rather than all the other arguements.
This one about Billy is true though...but you all know that.

A big congrats to my all time favorite player and true hero. My mom called me shortly after it was announced (even though I had already looked) and also mentioned when the ceremony was. Funny thing is we've been tentatively planning a Cooperstown trip for a couple years now but I would think now that it's official going to it is going to be near impossible.
