The Mariners asked to Los Cardenales de Lara to stop playing Adam Jones, because he is part of a very near deal with the Orioles, for Bedard in fact.
The Cardenales does not know wether he will play again or not, they are expecting the trade to happen soon, and ask the Orioles to let him play. What do you think? Omar |

I guess you don't want your centerpiece to be injured before the deal goes through.
Good info! |

Well, it's pretty strong information. Sounds like something might be coming over the next few days.

I mentioned the other day in the Hot stove report thread about Jones being taken out of the league.
According to the Seattle GM he will only miss a few games and be back in the lineup soon. I don't know whether they asked the O's for permission or not, but I doubt that would happen until the O's had him. http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/basebal...ives/129461.asp Edit...fixed with new link This post has been edited by HotTubMan on Jan 14 2008, 06:15 PM -------------------- There is only one thing better than baseball and that is nothing.
